The Aviat Social and Sporting Club Sporting Facilities
The Aviat Sporting and Social Club boasts a number of excellent facilities to cater to your sporting needs
We have 2 Squash Courts and 2 Tennis Courts. It is reccommended that you make a booking during the peak periods (from 5pm to 8pm), by calling the Club reception on 321 4261. Regular social tennis and Squash days are held at the Aviat. Contact the Club for more details.
The Aviat Club also has a gymnasium, with both cable and free weights machines. Membership to the gym is K330.00 for a year, or you can pay K5.00 for a casual visit.
We have a variety of aerobics classes at the Club. Both floor classes and aqua aerobics classes are conducted by our instructors. See the Aerobics Page for a timetable of classes for a time that suits you.
The swimming pool is the "Crown" of the Club. Wether it is a casual swim or a lap session for the more dedicated, this 25 meter pool will cover all your needs. We also have a smaller wading pool for the toddlers!
We have a dedicated snooker room with 2 full size tables. Snooker is very popular, both competitively and socially at the Club. We have 3 teams which play in the Port Moresby Billiards and Snooker Association, our monthly "Ray Moulsdale Memorial Snooker Day" (the history of the event is on the Ray Moulsdale link on the home page), as well as our Friday night 8-ball pool social competition. There is always someone looking for a game at the Club!
